NPS Kengeri, dedicated to maintaining excellence in teacher quality, took proactive steps to ensure their educators remain current by sending them to Vidyaniketan Public School for a valuable workshop on the latest teaching competencies.

Vidyaniketan Public School, Bengaluru hosted an exquisite workshop foused on 21^st Century Teacher Competencies has seen a rapid changes in technology , globalization and the workforce, demanding a new set of skills beyond traditional academic knowledge.

Mr. Sunil K.E., Head of the Department of English, served as the resource person for the workshop. He provided valuable insights into the importance of mastering ICT skills, fostering innovation, and enhancing assessment practices. Drawing from Diana Laurillard’s (2012) framework, he introduced participants to six essential types of learning activities, offering a fresh perspective on modern education.

He emphasized on comparison between 20^th century and 21^st century skill through an activity and gave a quick review on key aspects on Blooms Taxonomy and learning objectives. He illustrated – 4C’s  an a blend of cognitive, technical and interpersonal abilities that prepare individuals to navigate to the modern world.

Participants enthusiastically engaged in interdisciplinary tasks and collaborated in teams to solve problem-based challenges, gaining a broader understanding of the skills necessary for success in the 21st century.
