An orientation programme on “Cyber Safety and Awareness” was conducted on 24th June 2025 for the students of Grades 5 to 9. The session was graced by the Principal, Ms. Geeta Dikshit, Vice Principal, Ms. Suman Singh and the Co ordinators. The resource person of the session was Mrs. Arthi Vasudevan, a reputed technology leader and cyber security expert. The programme aimed at sensitizing students about safe practices while using digital devices and online platforms.
The session covered key topics including Password Strength, where students were taught the importance of using strong, complex, and unique passwords to protect their online accounts. The concept of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) was explained, highlighting how sharing personal data online can be risky and must be avoided.
Another important area of discussion was Internet Security and Social Media. Students learned about setting privacy controls on social media, avoiding unknown connections, and recognizing online threats. The dangers of malware such as viruses and spyware were also introduced, along with tips to stay protected using antivirus software and cautious browsing habits.
