Constitution Day, also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’, is celebrated every year on November 26th in India to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution. On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India, led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, formally adopted the Constitution, which came into effect on January 26, 1950.
