NPS, Kengeri on 6th Feb, 2016 organised a field trip to “My Native Village” for the students of Grade V to IX. The school basically aimed to bring about a paradigm shift from regular field trips to Museums, amusement parks and so on to culturally enriching field trip.

Wherein students were exposed to team games that have been forgotten in today’s context. On reaching the place everyone were welcomed hospitably with a welcome drink. Students on reaching the place were a bit sceptical.

After breakfast, they were made to play few traditional games like tug of war, 7 stones, water into the bucket, cycling, balancing act and so on. This actually gave scope for students to introspect themselves, about team games and its importance in developing team work, team strategy and team spirit. Post lunch, students played cricket match, badminton & danced to Bollywood songs. Thus, this field trip was a unique of its own kind and students enjoyed it thoroughly.
