NPS, Kengeri always takes lead in celebrating festivals of national importance with lots of gusto & patriotic fervour. The 69th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2015. The programme started off with decoration of the hues of tricolor followed by flag hoisting & cultural programmes. The Chief Guest Sri. Gudihalli Nagaraj (Retired Prajavani Newspaper Editor), Smt. Divya B.S (Hon. Secretary) and Principal Mrs. Geeta Dikshit presided and participated in the flag hoisting of parade. A cultural programme by students wherein they sang, danced spoke on the significance of the day, declamation of APJ Abdul Kalam’s 3 visions were few glimpses of the show. The auspicious occasion ended with the distribution of sweets to the students.

On 14th August 2015 Assembly activity was conducted by Grade 5 B students to commemorate the Quit India Movement and Dhandimarch (Salt Sathyagraha) in view of Independence Day celebrations.
